Growing, Collecting, Sharing the Best
for Food Equality in Wyoming

What We Do

Since our founding in 2009, we work to increase food production, access, distribution, and educational efforts that encourage community-led food sovereignty. Feeding Laramie Valley grows our own fruits and vegetables, mentors and supports backyard gardeners, develops and helps with management of community gardens, and is deeply committed to partnerships with independent farmers.

We accomplish this mission through nurturing community partnerships to operate multiple programs that each address different aspects of community food security and sovereignty.

True food security takes more than addressing immediate needs. In addition to providing healthy foods to those who need them, Feeding Laramie Valley works beyond the food bank model to make lasting changes in the food system as a whole to increase food access, affordability, and supply.

Healthy food means a healthy community. By supporting local farmers, ranchers, and home growers, Feeding Laramie Valley helps make more locally-grown produce available and strengthens the local economy, resulting in greater market stability.

Feeding Laramie Valley programs work within all of these areas to implement long-term solutions for a sustainable, food-secure future in Albany County, Wyoming, and beyond.
