The Need is Growing: Help Us Grow to Meet It!

Over the past year, prices at the grocery store have risen by over 18%, putting healthy foods out of reach for many Wyoming families. When Feeding Laramie Valley was founded in 2009, our community was facing a similar crisis. Our programs have a proven track record of addressing food insecurity, but we need your help to meet the growing need!

Our programs are vital for helping to bridge the gap until community members can get back on their feet, but this is a short-term fix to a problem that needs a long-term solution. We’re thinking about the whole picture, which is why we launched the Mobile Market last year and the Satanka Food and Community Innovation Hub this year. These programs provide sustainable solutions for affordable food access and a thriving local food economy while also financially supporting immediate needs. However, these fledgling programs need your support to show how transformative they can be!

Your donation of any size will directly support more equitable access to safe, healthy, affordable food and the growth of an innovative food system for a healthier local economy. See below for more information and how you can join us in making our vision for a better Wyoming a reality!

Food Insecurity Is on the Rise, Especially in Wyoming

The latest report from the USDA shows that, after over 20 years on the decline, food insecurity rates rose sharply over the past year, affecting children especially.

Food insecurity is about more than just hunger. Concern about where a next meal is coming from affects children's ability to learn, job performance, and psychological well-being.
