What is AmeriCorps VISTA?
AmeriCorps VISTA members are passionate and committed to their mission to bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Members make a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. They focus their efforts on building the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic development, and otherwise assist low-income communities.

SeniorCorps Foster Grandparents of the Wyoming Rockies
What is SeniorCorps?
Foster Grandparents of the Wyoming Rockies is looking for people 55 and older who want to make a difference in the life of a child. You can find fellowship with your peers and have some fun, all while making a difference in your community. For a minimum 15-20 hour per week commitment, you'll earn a tax exempt stipend, mileage reimbursement, paid days off, and paid holidays. You can serve up to 40 hours per week.

AmeriCorps NCCC
AmeriCorps NCCC is a full-time, residential, team-based program for young adults, age 18-24. Inspried by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression, NCCC members develop leadership skills and strengthen communities by completing a myriad of service projects while gaining life experience. Teams, comprised of 8-10 members, travel the country and complete multiple projects that address essential community needs throughout the United States, often living in rural areas.
Feeding Laramie Valley hosted an AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) team in the spring of 2016. The team built hoop houses at our building in LaBonte Park and also worked with FLV staff and volunteers to refurbish the building.
Our second NCCC team joined us in the summer of 2018 to assist in building additional hoop houses, building garden infrastructure, preparing for the Higher Ground Fair, and much more!
