How You Can Help

We are developing opportunities for local community members and all people supportive of community health work, to stay connected with us, and to sign on in a variety of ways for being involved with helping each other be well and connected during this challenging time.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are also developing new programs for the community to get involved in our food sharing efforts. Here are the different ways you can get involved.

 

In-person Volunteers:

Deeply committed in-person volunteers are going to be a major and important need at Feeding Laramie Valley in the coming months, beginning in mid-April and continuing throughout the spring and summer months. Those who apply to work with us to prepare or deliver food will be required to undergo background checks, and to participate in our safety precaution training process for the health and well being of themselves and all Feeding Laramie Valley program participants.

• Donate food

Volunteers can help donate food to Feeding Laramie Valley by dropping off food at our Feeding Laramie Valley Building Drop Off location. Please click here for more details.

• Deliver food 

Volunteers can help deliver food to our Shares participants. If interested, this volunteer position will need a background check and possibly a driving record. Please click here for more details.

• Prepare food

Volunteers can help prepare food for our Shares participants by washing, cutting, and preparing bags. We are collecting information and resources right now to expand our Shares program, so you will be put on our waiting list. Please click here to sign up.

• Sanitize and clean 

We need volunteers to help keep our building, kitchen, and operations sanitized and clean. Please click here to sign up.

• Watering Gardens

*No prior experience necessary. We have a team ready to train you.

• Garden weeding

• Kids Out to Lunch

*No prior experience necessary. We have a team ready to train you.

Date: Monday through Friday

Time: 12 PM to 1 PM

Location: Feeding Laramie Valley building, 968 N. 9th St., Laramie, Wyoming

Supervisor: Sandy Moody

*Volunteers who want to serve food will require a background check and a volunteer time commitment of not less than 4 weeks. No background check required for cleaning and washing dishes.

• The Seedling Foster Care Program
